About FowlVoice

FowlVoice exists for a simple reason: voice input on desktop Macs should feel fast, local, and dependable. Too many dictation tools either depend on the cloud for the basics, hide the real tradeoffs behind subscriptions, or make power features feel bolted on. The goal here is a Mac app that is straightforward to trust and easy to use every day.

The core FowlVoice experience is on-device dictation for Apple Silicon Macs. That means the app can transcribe speech, learn from corrections, manage custom vocabulary, and remember per-app settings without shipping your voice to a server. Privacy is not a secondary toggle. It is part of the product definition.

FowlVoice is designed for developers, writers, founders, and other Mac power users who spend all day moving between apps and need text input to keep up. That is why the product focuses on things like push-to-talk speed, custom dictionaries, formatting cleanup, history, and app-specific behavior instead of generic “AI assistant” marketing.

AI features are optional. If you want voice-driven editing or answers, FowlVoice can layer that on top. If you do not, the core product still works as a local dictation app. The long-term product direction is to keep pushing more of that workflow on-device so the tradeoff between capability and privacy keeps shrinking over time.
